Evaluate Solution
After completing and testing our design we had to make many modifications to ensure that it was a well created game. One of the first problems we had was that the goals were too small and the puck was too big. So the board and everything on the board did not look proportional. In order to fix this problem we made the puck a little smaller and the goal a little bigger. The next modification we had to make was to the puck and the paddles. Because they wouldn't slide easily on the cardboard, we taped the bottom's of both paddles as well as the puck. When we did this everything moved easily around the board. The last modification we had to make was to the walls of the board. Because they weren't very strong, we used bigger and stronger tape to strengthen them. Our modifications made our game much better then it would have been.
Present Solution
Teamwork is working together to complete something efficiently, and teamwork was really important for my group to get the project complete. The design process is a series of steps that engineers follow when they are trying to solve a problem and design a solution for something. We started out by identifying the criteria and constraints. Then we did some research and brainstormed for some ideas. When we got some ideas, we used the decision matrix to narrow our choices down to one choice. After using the decision matrix to find an idea, we sketched what it would look like and then made a technical drawing. Then we constructed and tested our prototype. When we tested it, we found some problems that needed to be solved. Finally, after fixing the problems, we evaluated the solution and now are presenting it. Next time I would do some things differently. One of the things I would do differently would be creating stronger walls so they don't break. This was a pretty fun project to do, not only did we get to build, we got to play with our creations too.
